Bluemetal Vineyard aims to produce wines with fresh fruit characters and complexity, wines that are different and sometimes a little controversial! The wines are made exclusively from the 26 acre vineyard on Hurdle Ridge. It is the highest vineyard in the Southern Highlands at 790 metres above sea level and this combined with rich, free draining soils, makes it an excellent vineyard site.

Matured in high-quality French oak barriques for a carefully controlled period, our 2010 Sauvignon Blanc Fumé Style is a seductive pale gold in hue. The bouquet reveals a combination of grassy, floral notes overlaid by lush orange and lemon scents. Vibrant lemon zest and other citrusy flavours are framed by lively acidity and the palate has some appealing textural qualities. A delicious and refreshing variation on Sauvignon Blanc’s hallmark attributes. Alc 11.7%
